Powers has announced the sale of its territorial divisions in Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Alabama to Albireo Energy, a leading independent provider of building controls and energy services. The transaction was finalized in August 2026 and represents an exciting new chapter for these divisions and the people who have helped build them.
Importantly, the sale does not include Powers’ Arkansas operations, federal projects or national business accounts. Powers remains an independent, family-owned company headquartered in North Little Rock and continues to serve customers in Arkansas and across the country.

The sale marks an important milestone in Powers’ 40-year history, while reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to its customers, employees and the communities it serves.
